Today our QUADRAT students will undertake their first module (Strategic Project Management) of the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership, hosted by Queen’s University Belfast Graduate School. Over 3 days this first module will help our students to understand the key processes in successful project management from initiation to delivery.

An accredited qualification for postgraduate students

CMI is designed for postgraduate students who want to develop their leadership and management skills. The level 7 Certificate offers you a unique opportunity to achieve a professional qualification whilst studying for a PhD. The programme is designed to enhance your theoretical understanding and competencies in leadership, project management and entreprenurial practice. CMI recognises that the learner has undergone significant personal and professional development in strategic thinking at a postgraduate level.

The award will build on the managerial skills and knowledge you already have. It will give you a greater understanding of the various roles and responsibilities involved in strategic management and through focusing on specific areas on management, we’ll tailor your qualification to suit your professional needs.

The Programme

The Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership requires you to complete two of the three CMI units offered at the Graduate School, an equivalent of 13 credits. Each unit encompasses a number of training days together with one piece of assessed work. Assessment schedules will be provided at the beginning of your programme.

Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignment provided by your Approved Centre. This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.
