QUADRAT DTP is delighted to announce the advertisement of 7 new interdisciplinary studentships commencing in October 2023!
In addition to the 20 traditional QUADRAT studentships we recruited to earlier this year; we are now launching a further 7 exciting interdisciplinary studentships! All 7 studentships are fully funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and are scheduled to commence 01 October 2023, alongside cohort 5.
These projects are a little different to our regular QUADRAT studentships – they aim to broaden the scope of QUADRAT through cross-disciplinary collaboration. They combine a mixture of expertise from different disciplines, to tackle unique range of critical environmental challenges.
A full list of projects is available here and on Find A PhD.
Although rooted in the core QUADRAT disciplines of Biological and Geo- sciences, these new interdisciplinary studentships push the boundaries of research, and require a broader skillset and area of interest. As such, they may be of particular interest to students in the following subject areas:
- human/physical geography
- environmental science
- remote sensing
- computer science
- marine science
- biological sciences
- life sciences
- social science
- environmental psychology
- animal science
- plant science
Prospective candidates can find full details here. Applicants should identify one project of interest and are advised to contact the lead supervisor who can provide further information and advice about the project prior to applying.
Please note, you can apply for a maximum of 1 QUADRAT project. The deadline for applications is 7th June 2023.
